Colemans Office Supplies Ltd

Sustainable Products policy

Colemans Office Supplies Ltd is a stationery supplies reseller and a member of the Office Friendly business community. We recognise the importance of operational and supply chain sustainability through our participation in the Weaver sustainability programme. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact, increasing the sustainability of our operations and complying with all relevant product legislation.

At Colemans Office Supplies Ltd It is imperative that we carefully consider the environmental and social impacts of our operations in order to ensure that we procure and sell products sustainably. This involves a thorough understanding of the entire supply chain, including the practices of our suppliers. To achieve this, we must increase our engagement with suppliers and obtain accurate and comprehensive data on their operations and credentials. By doing so, we can present this information on our website, providing our customers with greater transparency and reassurance that they are making informed and ethical purchasing decisions.

Mark Dale – Sales Director & Sean Davis – General Manager is responsible for ensuring that the sustainable products policy is implemented. However, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.

Sustainable products are a key pillar of operational and supply chain sustainability. To meet our goals in sustainable products, we will:

  • Continually review the sustainability of our product offering
  • Ensure all credentials are available to view on our website so customers can make informed choices when purchasing from Colemans
  • Actively promote and offer sustainable alternatives to our customers
  • Engage with suppliers on improving the sustainability of product ranges and packaging
  • Continue to work with suppliers using our Environmentally Preferred Purchasing (EPP) protocol to consider sustainability when procuring products for resale to our customers
  • Engage with customers to encourage the recycling of products
  • Locally source products to reduce carbon emissions and support our local communities
  • Provide employee awareness and training in sustainable products
  • Be legally compliant with existing and future sustainable products legislation

An action plan will be communicated to our employees, clients and suppliers through the use of our website, general communications and regular staff updates. This sustainable products policy will be made available to all members of staff so they can see our commitments, initial actions and subsequent results. A full review of this policy will take place on an annual basis.

We provide regular training to our staff to ensure that they are kept informed and included in our sustainable products activity. New staff receive sustainable products training as part of their induction. In addition, we will communicate with our customers and suppliers to agree on how they can support our environmental objectives and targets.
