Colemans Office Supplies Ltd

Carbon Footprint policy

Coleman Office Supplies is a stationery supplies reseller and a member of the Office Friendly business community. We recognise the importance of operational and supply chain sustainability through our participation in the Weaver sustainability programme. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact, increasing the sustainability of our operations and complying with all relevant carbon footprint legislation.

At Coleman Office Supplies, the material carbon impact of our operations includes energy consumption, transportation, waste generation, supply chain and business travel.

Mark Dale – Sales Director & Sean DavisGeneral Manager are responsible for ensuring that the carbon footprint policy is implemented. However, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met.

Carbon footprint is a key pillar of operational and supply chain sustainability. To meet our goals in carbon footprint reduction, we will:

  • Reduce energy consumption by turning off lights, changing lighting to LEDs, monitoring usage and continuing to work with our green energy supplier.
  • Make sure we continue to check our vehicles and use the most efficient routes for delivery
  • Continue to measure and manage waste, working with our zero-to-landfill contractor
  • Collaborate with suppliers to eliminate any unnecessary waste coming into the business
  • Show intent through a robust plan and focus through measurable KPIs
  • Communicate our commitment to sustainability
  • Engage employees with awareness and training in carbon footprint
  • Encourage suggestions from employees on additional ways we can reduce our Carbon Footprint
  • Continue to be legally compliant with existing and future carbon footprint legislation

An action plan will be communicated to all employees, stakeholders and suppliers through internal communications, our website and general social media practices. This carbon footprint policy will be made available to all members of staff so they can see our commitments, initial actions and subsequent results. A full review of this policy will take place on an annual basis.

We provide regular training to our staff to ensure that they are kept informed and included in our carbon footprint activity. New staff receive carbon footprint training as part of their induction. In addition, we will communicate with our contractors and suppliers to agree on how they can support our environmental objectives and targets.
